The Syrian American Academic Society (SAAS) is a non-profit organization registered in the United States. It brings together Syrian scientists and academics living in North America and works to strengthen their scientific and development roles and expand their impact inside Syria.
Passionate advocates leading our mission.
President of the Association. He combines a strong scientific background, deep teaching experience and a modern vision for education in the age of AI, making him a model of the interdisciplinary researcher who serves both science and society.
Founding Member. A chemist and nanotechnology scientist with many papers in leading journals and more than 60 patents worldwide. He runs research and development labs at BASF and has received several major US awards for innovations in chemistry and the environment.
Board Member. Professor of biostatistics at Baylor College of Medicine and a former NASA consultant. He holds a PhD in quantitative methods and has led data initiatives for US federal agencies, focusing on big data and spatial analysis.
Founding Member. An expert in remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) at the Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety (IQuESt) at Baylor College of Medicine.
